Enherya Clinic Statement

In response to Dr. Kuo Anda's deliberate exposure of the threats that this clinic has faced from unidentified individuals, this clinic states that the case was reported to the police immediately, and a suspect has been apprehended. We thank all those involved in the investigation for their hard work.

As for Dr. Kuo Anda's statements on personal social media, they do not represent the full truth and still require evidence from the investigation by the police and prosecutors. Here, this clinic not only states that it has cooperated with the relevant actions of the police and prosecutors, but also finds Dr. Kuo Anda's motivation for posting to be baffling and cannot agree with it.

In order to protect the rights of all patients at this clinic, the clinic states the following:

(1) This clinic is in accordance with the "Medical Institution Medical Privacy Maintenance Regulations" point two, which stipulates the installation of equipment in the examination room to protect patient rights, and has provided written notice to patients in advance, as well as posted announcements in the examination room. The process is legal and has been consented to by the patients. As for the images that were hacked, they are normal medical actions performed by the physician during patient examinations, which have been used for extortion by unidentified individuals and are currently under investigation by the police.

(2) Our clinic deeply regrets the incident involving the hacked images and has reported it to the police at the first opportunity. The Kaohsiung Prosecutor's Office in Taiwan is currently investigating the case, and a suspect has already been arrested. Our clinic, based on the stance of protecting patient privacy, is fully cooperating with the investigation and has also engaged cybersecurity experts to assist in the review and maintenance.

(3) This clinic believes that Dr. Kuo Anda should have immediately reported to the police and cooperated with law enforcement to bring the criminals to justice, rather than disregarding patient privacy and spreading photos on his social media. His motives are truly incomprehensible and suspect, and he may have violated relevant laws. Regarding Dr. Kuo Anda's actions, this clinic will file civil and criminal lawsuits based on the relevant facts to clarify the truth. The clinic hereby calls on major news media and the public not to forward or repost the video content to avoid causing secondary harm to the victims.

(4) The clinic sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused to patients. If any patients have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the clinic, and there will be dedicated personnel to provide explanations and services.
